so so sad. Truly economically depressed inside the mall – the only reason to go I imagine is the movie theater, which itself is new comfortable and has a lot of movie options on any given day and night..
some businesses must move in and be worth visiting in order to save the Stroud mall
The only other highlight is, it's connected to one of the best ShopRite I've ever been to

This mall may feel like it’s on its last leg but it does have things to offer. I notice more stores have opened in the last few months along with new places in the food court. The Boba stand is great, along with the all you can play arcade.

The Stroud Mall is not going to be there much longer if J C Penny leaves the place will close because no other small stores are going to move into the Mall when there's nothing there to see and even the movie cinema is doing very bad lately!! There's not much there to see or do at all!! More than half the stores closed and left years ago when Sears left the mail!!

I believe the Stroud Mall has great potential, but it needs a thoughtful remodel to truly capture more visitors.

Currently, it's uninspiring, hard to navigate, not ADA-friendly, and poorly lit inside. With JC Penney as the main highlight, the mall feels out of touch with its prime location.

Here are my thoughts:

The mall would benefit from a modern makeover to brighten the interior, enhance curb appeal, and create a must-see destination. A better anchor store could make good use of the ample parking, and adding another family attraction, such as a Dave and Buster's, could draw more visitors. Currently, there’s nothing similar within a 40-mile radius. Modern, family-oriented attractions are still very successful.

The current furniture store anchor feels like a space-filler rather than a valuable addition. Similarly, the game stores inside the mall give off a tacky vibe, reminiscent of Atlantic City pawn shops.

Stroudsburg is the heart of the Poconos, surrounded by stunning destinations and beautiful homes. The area deserves more diverse local attractions. By bringing in modern, relevant attractions, the mall could better cater to both tourists and local (of whom many are commuters). Making it a weekend-friendly spot for tourists and a convenient visit for locals would drive more traffic.

I don't mean to criticize the businesses within; the customer service during my visit was exceptional. However, the overall visual experience was rather drab.

On an external note, the placement of Burger King in the middle of the parking lot is odd and disrupts the layout.

On a positive note, the neighboring supermarket is very nice and a good example of what the mall could aspire to.

Don't forget to visit the Dollar Galaxy inside the mall. Lots of good deals to find. Shop Rite is also there and, of course, JCPenny's. And remember to check Bath and Body works. If you're hungry the Pizza in the food court is delicious! Or Auntie Anne's Pretzels!

Not entirely the best of malls, the shoe store alone had a rather insulting employee that told my fiance when she had asked if there was a store she could buy a purse at "Well, there's one next door and they may be too pricy for you." as if she was judging my fiance. I'll never go back to this mall or shoe store. The judgemental cashier was the deal breaker.
